Kevin Costner arrived at Marco Polo Airport, brimming with excitement for the Venice Film Festival.
The 69-year-old actor and filmmaker looked cheerful as he boarded a water taxi to the city.
Costner, known for his relaxed style, donned a beige linen outfit with oversized sunglasses, radiating ease as he headed for the festival.
Costner’s Return to the Limelight
Costner is attending the festival for the premiere of his movie Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter Two, scheduled for Saturday.
The grand Western film, directed, produced, and co-written by Costner, features Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, and Jena Malone.
The movie is part two of a planned quadrilogy exploring the American West. The first installment, Chapter One, faced challenges upon its June release, leading to the indefinite postponement of Chapter Two due to financial and critical reasons.
Despite obstacles, Costner remains deeply committed to the project. He self-financed the film, investing $38 million and even mortgaging his Santa Barbara home to support its creation.
Career Continues Strong Post-Divorce
Costner‘s appearance at the festival follows a period of personal changes. He has three children – Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 13, with his former spouse Christine Baumgartner.
The couple, married since 2004, finalized their divorce earlier this year in February.
Alongside his younger children, Costner is a father to three adult kids: Annie, 40, Lily, 36, and Joe, 36, from his first marriage to Cindy Silva. He also has a 26-year-old son, Liam, with former partner Bridget Rooney.
Christine Baumgartner’s New Beginning
In the meantime, Costner’s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner has moved on and is currently dating Josh Connor. This new chapter sees them embracing life post-divorce as Costner immerses himself in his career and ongoing ventures.
