“Obaseki’s Triumph: The Untold Story of Our Support”

Edo Guber Obaseki Has Never Won We Always Assisted Him (via Primetweets)

Godwin Obaseki, Philip Shaibu

Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, has openly mocked Governor Godwin Obaseki following the recent defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the gubernatorial elections.

Shaibu labeled Obaseki as ungrateful, expressing that he has turned against those who have supported him.

During an interview with Arise TV, Shaibu articulated that his perspective has been validated by the election results, which he believes disproves claims that he is incapable of winning elections.

While discussing Obaseki, Shaibu indicated that he does not view the outgoing governor as an enemy. However, he expressed satisfaction with the election’s outcome, which favored the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Shaibu, it has become evident that Obaseki is unable to secure election victories independently, suggesting that his successes have always been aided by supporters.

He further ridiculed Obaseki for his failure to secure even his own local government area for the PDP.

Shaibu urged Obaseki to start demonstrating humility by seeking forgiveness from the residents of Edo State.

“I feel vindicated; even the governor couldn’t win his local government. I won my unit, ward, and local government. Where are the governor’s results? He has never won; we always assisted him. What is left now is for him to go back and start begging and apologizing to the people of Edo State and he has a lot of them that he needs to go and apologize to,” Shaibu remarked.
