The prominent Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso, has sadly passed away and will be buried today.
Earlier, it was reported by TORI regarding the singer’s demise.
Punch has stated that the Janazzah prayer was held in Ojota, Lagos State, on Tuesday.
During this time, it was announced that her burial would occur in Ijebu Aiyepe, Ogun State, at noon.
Furthermore, YAYI TV, a well-known Islamic channel on YouTube and social platforms, confirmed the details via Facebook.
The post expressed, “Alh. Rukayat Gawat is no longer with us, May Allah be pleased with her – Amin.
“Her Janazah prayer will be conducted today in Ijebu Aiyepe, Ogun State – may Allah grant her soul peace.”
Jubril Gawat, the brother of the deceased and a Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, shared a poignant quote from the Quran on his X account on Tuesday morning.
His message read, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Q 2 V 156.
