Cristiano Ronaldo continues to shine! The Portuguese star scored again, helping Al-Nassr achieve a 2-0 victory over Al-Wehda, bringing them closer to the top of the Saudi Pro League standings.
Ronaldo scored from a penalty, enabling Al-Nassr to narrow the gap to just one point behind league leaders Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo’s Contribution Under Pioli’s Guidance
Since the arrival of new coach Stefano Pioli, Al-Nassr has been on a winning streak. Friday night marked their third consecutive victory under his leadership after replacing Luis Castro. Ronaldo scored his fourth goal of the season in the 56th minute, converting a penalty won by Sultan Al-Ghannam.
However, this match wasn’t solely about Ronaldo; Al-Nassr took charge early when Angelo scored after a brilliant assist from Sadio Mane in the 41st minute.
Mane thought he had scored again with a potential third goal, but it was ruled offside due to Ronaldo’s position. Al-Nassr maintained control, especially after Al-Wehda’s Waleed Bakshween received a red card in the 86th minute for dissent.

With 903 career goals, Ronaldo is proving that age doesn’t limit ability. He remains unstoppable, and fans of Al-Nassr have much to look forward to. With Pioli leading the team and Ronaldo setting the pace, their title chase remains strong.
Al-Wehda put up a good fight, with Youssef Amyn nearly scoring before halftime and Juninho Bacuna challenging Al-Nassr’s defense, but luck wasn’t on their side.
With only one point separating them from the top team Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo and his teammates have everything to strive for as they prepare for their next match in the AFC Champions League against Al-Rayyan.
