Fuel Price Surge: Whining Without Action

Well-known Nigerian actor, Kunle Remi, has spoken out about the surge in petrol prices across the country.

In his video message, he noted that even with the rising petrol pump prices, Nigerians successfully adapt.

He expressed that people in Nigeria often endure hardship while maintaining a facade of happiness.

‘’I’ve realized that no matter how absurd the situation becomes in Nigeria, we always discover ways to get by.

Just yesterday, I spent N98,000 to fill my tank. I still feel the impact, but I see that regardless of the price spikes, there’s always heavy traffic on the roads.

The number of cars on the roads has skyrocketed. As Fela puts it, it’s ‘suffering and smiling’. So we keep complaining while taking no action. This is Nigeria.”
