Fans of Barcelona are anxious after Lamine Yamal picked up an injury while playing for Spain.
A late goal from Martin Zubimendi secured a 1-0 victory for Spain over Denmark in the UEFA Nations League, extending their unbeaten run in the competition to three matches.
However, much of the attention after the match was on the young talent Lamine Yamal, who was substituted in the dying minutes due to injury.
Yamal faced aggressive challenges from Danish defenders, but Leicester City’s Victor Kristiansen denied any intent to target him deliberately.
Update on Lamine Yamal’s Injury
Following evaluation by Spain’s medical staff, Yamal is heading back to Barcelona as a precaution and will miss the upcoming match against Serbia on October 15 in Cordoba.

Victor Kristiansen’s Comments on Lamine Yamal
After the match, Kristiansen addressed whether Denmark had a specific strategy to contain Yamal.
As the left-back, Kristiansen directly faced Yamal during the game and received a yellow card for a tackle against him.
Kristiansen stated, “I didn’t focus on the possibility of a yellow card. I approached him and said, ‘I’m also in this fight. I’m not scared of you,’” according to quotes from Ekstra Bladet.
He continued, “It’s important not to show too much respect to such a player. When the opportunity arises for a fair challenge, you must seize it.”
Kristiansen praised Yamal, saying, “He’s incredibly talented for his age and destined to be one of the best in football for years to come.”
