Police Search for Suspect in Fatal Stabbing Incident
A 38-year-old woman named Halimmah Thamando Mnyobisi is currently evading law enforcement following the alleged murder of her husband, Fezile Mnyobisi, in Botshabelo, Free State, South Africa.
Fezile, a 35-year-old educator, was found with over 30 stab wounds after being taken to the hospital by Halimmah on September 15, 2023. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
According to provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli, the tragic incident occurred in close proximity to Sechaba-se-Maketse Combined School in H1-Section.
Fezile worked as a teacher at Refihlile Primary School located in C-Section.
Initially, the police began an investigation into robbery and murder at the Botshabelo Police Station. Kareli stated that following a thorough inquiry led by local detectives in collaboration with the Provincial Investigative Psychology Section, three individuals were arrested after warrants were issued.
“Vusumuzi Daniel Nqele, 43, and Moeketsi Innocent Manko, 35, were apprehended on Friday, November 8, 2024, charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder,” Kareli reported.
Additionally, Halimmah’s brother, Abdool Thamando, 35, was arrested later in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
Kareli mentioned that Halimmah remains at large and is believed to be driving a black Mazda CX-5 with unknown license plates.
