Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Granted Bail After Extended Jail Stay: Conditions Include Sobriety

Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter has been released from jail on a $4,000 bond with strict conditions prohibiting the use of alcohol and drugs, following her two arrests in a short time frame, with her most recent court appearance on November 12.

Chelsea O’Donnell must maintain “absolute sobriety” while out on bail, as mandated by a Wisconsin court after spending over a month in the Oconto County Jail.

She is facing seven felony charges stemming from two events involving methamphetamine. In September, drugs and a meth pipe were discovered in her home while her 11-month-old child was present, leading to charges of neglect and drug possession.

In October, Chelsea attempted to dispose of a meth pipe during a traffic stop, and officers found meth and pills in her possession, resulting in additional felony charges and the stipulation to avoid drugs and alcohol.

The court order states, “Defendant shall not possess/consume alcoholic beverages,” as reported by In Touch, adding that she is prohibited from any illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia unless prescribed.

Chelsea is also required to report to the Sheriff’s Department for identification purposes.

Why was Chelsea O’Donnell arrested twice?

On September 10, law enforcement responded to a 911 call made by the 27-year-old, discovering her with symptoms indicative of drug use, including dilated pupils, as well as a meth pipe and residue at the location.

Officers encountered a home described as “disgusting,” with findings of “rotten food, dirty moldy dishes, milk that stunk.” They found a black container and white pills in Chelsea’s possession.

O’Donnell and her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund, had their 11-month-old child present at the home, where dangerous substances were found nearby, including a marijuana grinder.

Consequently, Chelsea was arrested and charged with four felonies including maintaining a drug trafficking location, child neglect, and possession of meth and THC, later being released on bond.

On October 11, while she was driving, Chelsea tried to throw a meth pipe into a river but it hit a fence and returned to the car. Officers subsequently found meth and pills on her, leading to three more felonies, alongside her previous charges from September.

With a total of seven felony charges, Chelsea is set to return to court on December 12, while her family continues their support efforts.
