Nigerian artist and Grammy winner Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has reacted to the return of his latest single ”Kese” (Dance) to the Apple Music Top 100 chart after it had vanished for nearly seven hours on November 18, 2024.
The sudden drop from the charts led to speculation regarding its cause. Some industry experts believe that Apple Music’s stringent regulations on streaming manipulation could have prompted the song’s temporary removal.
This scenario indicates that the song’s streams may have been recalibrated before it was re-ranked.
On the other hand, others suspect that the disappearance was simply a technical problem on Apple Music’s side.
Regardless of the cause, what stands out is that “Dance” acquired enough genuine streams to reclaim its No. 1 position upon its return.
This unexpected occurrence has raised excitement for Wizkid’s forthcoming album, “Morayo,” which is set to drop on November 22, 2024.
Once it reappeared at the top spot, Wizkid took to X to express his feelings.
He commented; “lol this one no be ebuka o kese jor!”
