Beyonce‘s mother has responded to claims that the singer was paid $10 million to appear at Kamala Harris’ Democratic rally ahead of the U.S. Presidential Election. A social media post suggested this, which her mother immediately refuted.
During the rally, Beyonce expressed her support for Harris, who is the current Vice President under Joe Biden. In light of her prominent endorsement, some political opponents are attempting to undermine Beyonce‘s impact.
In response, Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother, took to social media to clarify that her daughter received no financial reward for her appearance at the rally in Houston last October.
“This information has been flagged as misleading on Instagram and was removed,” Knowles stated on her Instagram. “It’s considered false information. Unfortunately, other platforms still allow it to circulate.”
“The misinformation asserts that Beyonce was paid $10 million to speak at a Houston rally for Vice President Kamala Harris. In reality, Beyonce did not earn any money for her appearance at the rally.
“She even covered her own travel expenses and beauty costs for herself and her team. These statements not only tarnish Beyonce‘s reputation but they also undermine the authority of our Vice President! When will the misinformation cease? You likely won’t see this addressed in the media!”
Future Prospects for Kamala Harris
Ultimately, Trump won the election with 312 electoral votes, indicating a Republican victory along with the popular vote, leading to their return to the White House in January 2025 with the 78-year-old being inaugurated once more.
As for Harris, her political future remains uncertain. She has a background as an attorney in California, followed by representing the state in the Senate, and then becoming Biden‘s running mate in both 2019 and 2024.
She eventually became the Democratic candidate for President after Biden decided not to run, setting her sights on the 2028 election cycle.
