Situated about 30 kilometers from the heart of Hanoi, Binh Minh Quarry in Quoc Oai District has recently become a beloved destination for those looking for adventure and peace.

This location is characterized by its pristine natural beauty, peaceful vibe, a small lake at its center, vibrant greenery, and rolling hills.

Being on the outskirts, it offers fresh air, making it the perfect spot for a weekend retreat from the busy city life.

Chu Danh Hieu, a Hanoi native born in 2002, visited Binh Minh Quarry for the first time after a friend’s recommendation. He has returned twice, with his latest trip being in late October, where he spent the day exploring and camping overnight.

“The nighttime views at the quarry really stood out to me,” he remarked.

“Since it’s away from the city, there’s no pollution, which makes it perfect for stargazing and enjoying the night sky. Visitors can also enjoy the romantic glow of the distant city lights,” Hieu added.

Hieu described the journey to the quarry as easy. It’s accessible by personal vehicles like cars or motorbikes.

“The route is mostly well-paved and easy to follow. The last 100 meters near the campsite is a bit rough, but manageable,” he noted.

As a newly discovered spot, Binh Minh Quarry does not currently have any tourist services available. Campers should bring essential gear such as tents, sleeping bags, lighting, food, and beverages.

Hieu mentioned that a local market is nearby for those who may need additional supplies.

Visitors are encouraged to be environmentally conscious by not littering or starting fires recklessly, and to clean up after themselves before leaving.

“The quarry is abandoned and lacks oversight, so visitors must be careful around the lake and rocky areas to ensure safety while exploring or taking photos,” Hieu stressed.

For those heading to Binh Minh Quarry, Hieu suggests pairing the visit with a trip to Suoi Mu, another nearby attraction.
