However, each pair is crafted with a signature red rubber sole, which makes it easy to dance. We typically incorporate this feature for musicians’ tours to withstand the performances night after night.”
In addition to safety, comfort was a top priority. Louboutin’s designs were made for swift costume changes and long-lasting wear throughout the energetic performances. His designs included supportive block heels and flats, allowing Swift to glide through her act.
The concept behind Swift’s stage shoes was influenced by her previous artistic eras and Louboutin’s early work for cabaret performers. He expressed, “The [Eras Tour] stage clothes were instrumental in the overall inspiration. It has been a pleasure for someone like me, who started designing shoes for cabaret dancers, to imagine pairs for her tour and think about how the shoes will enhance the performance.“
