She explained how they noticed something was off with Birdie when she stopped eating, something that was unusual for her.
Garner continued, “We were shocked to find out she was gravely ill and nearing the end of her life. The veterinarian mentioned that dogs often wait for their humans to return before saying goodbye, and we believe Birdie held on for her eldest daughter, Violet, so we could lovingly say farewell together and express our gratitude for her being an extraordinary dog.”
