Taylor Swift has subtly shown her support for Josh Allen, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, and actress Hailee Steinfeld, who announced their engagement this week. Allen popped the question to Steinfeld, his partner for almost 18 months, in a beautiful coastal locale last Friday.
They shared their exciting news with fans on Instagram, where they posted an image from the proposal that received close to two million likes.
Among those who congratulated them was Swift, who liked the announcement post, hinting at her well wishes. Her partner, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, was more forthcoming, leaving a comment filled with applause and raised-hands emojis.
Fans encourage Kelce to take the plunge
Kelce’s enthusiastic comment quickly drew the attention of Swift‘s ardent fans, who inundated the post with messages suggesting he might be the next to get engaged.
Comments like “You’re next” and playful nudges like “Your move, Trav” circulated, with some fans teasingly stating, “I see you.”
Others humorously noted, “You wish that was you, huh,” suggesting that Kelce might already be contemplating an engagement with Swift.
Allen and Steinfeld began dating in May 2023, following Allen’s breakup with his previous girlfriend Brittany Williams. The couple has largely kept a low profile but has appeared at events such as Paris Fashion Week and enjoyed vacations in Mexico.
On the other hand, Swift and Kelce‘s relationship has attracted significant media attention since she publicly acknowledged their romance by attending a Chiefs game in September 2023.
Swift has become a familiar face at the Arrowhead Stadium this season, continuously showing her support for Kelce. She made her sixth appearance at the Chiefs’ home games during their Week 13 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The duo celebrated Thanksgiving together, with Swift joining Kelce for family festivities before cheering him on in Friday’s close match against the Raiders, ending in a 19-17 win.
