Media Personality’s Wife Speaks Out Against Blackmail
A significant backlash has arisen following revelations from the wife of a prominent figure, known as the “Egungun of Lagos,” about a blackmail scheme targeting them.
In a series of candid social media updates, she described how an unidentified individual is threatening to release a private video of her husband unless certain financial demands are fulfilled.
She emphasized that the video, which was meant to be a private communication between them, was shared without their permission.
In a strong defense of her husband’s integrity, she stated: “My husband has always been faithful (as have I). Our relationship is rooted in trust, understanding, loyalty, and commitment.”
Additionally, she shared her active role in supporting her husband’s career, showing her firm belief in their bond despite this troubling situation.
She called on the public to disregard the intentions of the blackmailer, asserting: “Our marriage is impervious to this attempt; we are built on a stronger foundation than any scandal.”
Her posts included screenshots of the blackmailer’s communications, which outlined threats to publicize the video if their demands were not met.
The blackmailer reportedly stated, “You can ignore this, but once he becomes a trending topic, you will regret it.”
Despite the gravity of the circumstances, she concluded her messages on a hopeful note, expressing gratitude and extending Merry Christmas wishes to her followers, while also hinting at exciting family projects on the horizon.
