“I’ve reached a point in my life where I no longer care what you think,” she shared confidently. “It’s up to you to claim your space; other people’s views of me don’t affect me.”
Aguilera’s confidence stems from past experiences of relentless scrutiny regarding her body. Throughout her career, her changing appearance has faced criticism—from being considered “too thin” in her early years to being told she “gained weight” later on.
“As a teen, my body looked different than it does in my twenties,” she explained. “When I started to develop, it became a topic of scrutiny, with some industry people preferring my teenage body.”
