Nikki Glaser’s Enthusiasm for Swift

Glaser, set to host the upcoming Golden Globes, shared her reasons for this extravagant expenditure in a recent talk, declaring it was “worth every penny.”

“This total includes my travel costs, hotels, and inviting friends, along with ticket prices and merchandise,” the 40-year-old told PEOPLE.

“It was definitely worth it. I would have spent even more.”

With the tour concluding earlier this month, it amassed over $2 billion in ticket sales, a figure that Glaser found gratifying.

“I loved seeing my contribution in that total and thinking, ‘There it is!'” she quipped.

As she gears up to host the 2025 Golden Globes on January 5, Glaser compared her expenses to the financial commitment of raising children, a choice she consciously decided against.

“After learning the costs associated with raising a child, I thought, ‘Spending this on Taylor Swift is no big deal,'” she remarked.

“People invest similar amounts in their kids’ sports activities for years. So why not?”

Despite some criticism, Glaser stands firm on her spending choices.

“No one criticizes parents for their expenses, saying, ‘What a waste of money.’ Yet, when I attend 22 Taylor Swift concerts, I’m questioned for my privilege. It doesn’t make sense,”

As she readies for a pivotal achievement in her career as the first solo female host of the Golden Globes, Glaser attributes her strong work ethic and her passion for Swift to keeping her grounded.

“The path to this point has been filled with hard work,” she shared. “I’m at a point where I can manage the spotlight without letting it get to my head.”

The Golden Globes will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, January 5, at 8 p.m. ET.
