Tragic Murder of Three Children in Anambra
In a heartbreaking incident on January 4, 2024, three young boys, sons of a native doctor, were brutally killed at their home in the Nise community, located in the Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Reports indicate that the attackers entered the property by scaling the fence, committing the act without being seen, and later disposed of the children’s bodies inside their father’s parked Mercedes Benz.
While the motive for this horrific crime is yet to be confirmed, it is suspected that it may relate to ongoing disputes involving the children’s father and some unnamed individuals over a business transaction.
“These innocent boys, ages between two and six, were at home when unknown assailants broke in and killed them in a gruesome manner,” a local informant revealed.
“Post-mortem, the children were found with their mouths tied and their remains placed in a pool of blood inside their father’s car parked within the premises.”
The victims’ father, a businessman and native doctor in his 30s, typically secured the children inside the house while he left for work, intending to return later to provide for them.
While there were reports of conflicts involving the father and certain individuals, it remains unclear if these issues triggered the tragedy.
Police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident, stating that officers have already visited the site.
He also announced that a search for the perpetrators is underway, aided by information from local residents.
“Yes, we were informed about the tragic murder of the three siblings, whose bodies were found in a car in their compound,” he explained.
“We have secured the scene and are gathering details from the community, including the father of the victims. This information is crucial for our pursuit of the suspects.”
“The attackers entered, carried out this heinous act, and left the bodies inside the car. Although this occurred on Saturday, we received the report late on Sunday,” he continued.
“We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killings, including whether there was any negligence on the father’s part or if there’s a specific motive behind the attack. We will provide an update once our inquiries are complete.”
