A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ayekooto Akindele, has responded to Bashir El-Rufai’s comments about wanting to see Bola Tinubu defeated in the upcoming 2027 presidential election and return to Lagos.
Akindele stated on Friday that President Bola Tinubu has become a significant source of concern for the family of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
He suggested that the El-Rufai family is expressing distress regarding Tinubu’s presidency.
Bashir claimed that the North would mobilize efforts to ensure Tinubu does not win reelection in 2027.
Accompanying a photo of Tinubu on X, he expressed: “Eagerly anticipating this man’s return to Bourdillion. The North is prepared.”
In response, Akindele remarked:
El-Rufai is currently involved with the opposition coalition focused on unseating Tinubu in 2027.
