Many years ago I was in a bad relationship. We had a son together and I didn’t want him to grow up in a broken home. So I decided to stick it out and suck it up, thinking someday everything would be better. By the time I realized that that would not happen, I was broken. My relationship with friends and family was in turmoil. I felt alone and I knew I had to leave, but just didn’t have the strength and energy to go.
At that time my sister gave me a book called The Secret. I read it, thought about it, and tossed it aside because I thought that this mumbo jumbo, spiritual stuff would never work. Alone at night, I started fantasizing about what my perfect life would be like. My real life was a mess so I escaped to another world, secretly hoping that one day my dreams would come true. I fantasized and visualized about having twins, about a tall and handsome man who would love me and respect me and rescue me and my son from my then boyfriend. I imagined having a house with a garden and cats.
A few months later everything spun out of control. I had to flee my house because my life was in danger due to my aggressive boyfriend. I literally ran away with my son and a few belongings. I took my son to my parent’s place on the other side of the country and left him with them for his safety.
I had no place to stay until a co-worker offered me his guest room. This very tall and handsome co-worker helped me get out of my relationship. He helped me move the rest of my stuff but he did not try to help me find a new place to stay. After a few months, he told me to never move out of his house and asked me to stay with him forever.
This was 12 years ago. We are now happily married, live in a house with a garden and 2 cats, and had 2 more children. They are not twins but my husband has an identical twin brother. Since then I have read The Secret over and over. I have been grateful for all the good that has come into my life. Since then I have manifested more happiness, more success, and more unexpected money. I try to find little things to bring me happiness every day. Being happy and feeling happy makes me feel connected to all that is around me. I know that so many more good things will come my way. Thank you so much for The Secret.
