Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker, the married couple behind Low, have canceled another slate of upcoming concerts to focus on Parker’s battle with ovarian cancer.

“We were hoping she would be healthy enough to do the UK/Europe tour we had planned in November, but it is clear that we should stay home and continue with treatment and care as she is still struggling with ovarian cancer,” Sparhawk wrote to fans Friday. “There have been difficult days but your love has sustained us and will continue to lift us through this time.”

He continued, “With tears, we say thank you and hope to see you soon.”

In September, Low announced that a series of shows that month, including a gig at Primavera Sound 2022, were off due to Parker’s cancer battle.

“As some of you know, Mimi has been fighting cancer,” Low shared in a band statement at the time. “Recent developments and changes in treatment have made extensive travel impossible at this time. Our hope is that she will respond to new treatments and be able to play the shows we have scheduled for the fall.”

Later in September, the band announced that they were pulling out of their scheduled set at Primavera Sound Los Angeles 2022. “Very sorry, y’all. Mim is in a pretty fragile state and it’s just not possible to perform or travel for now,” the band’s official Twitter account wrote.

Earlier this year, during an appearance on the SHEROES Radio Podcast, Parker revealed she’d been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December of 2020.

The veteran duo released their thirteenth studio album Hey What last year and have since toured the record throughout North America and Europe.

“We are very sorry for the inconvenience of ticket shuffling and travel expenses/changes,” the statement continues. “We welcome your positive hopes/prayers as we hope and pray for you all.”
