Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell, Sister of Honey Boo Boo, Discusses Private Cancer Diagnosis

Alana Thompson has recently taken to Instagram to confirm the news of Anna Cardwell’s diagnosis and to ask for compassion for her family. She posted a screenshot of the original TMZ story, writing, “This is what I mean when I say you never truly know what someone is going through at home. No matter how famous they are. Yes, I’m very famous, but normal s*** happens to me and my family, and yall need to realize that ASAP.” So far, Cardwell’s other family members have not made any public comments, which is understandable given how recent the news is. Thompson’s post comes shortly after she posted a TikTok video in which she spoke in a surprising accent, which caused some to accuse her of speaking in a “blaccent”. She quickly apologized, saying, “No, I wasn’t attempting to offend anyone! I did this because people frequently comment on how ‘ghetto’ my speech is. Which I feel in no way I do! I feel I am my own true self and if you don’t like it, you simply don’t have to comment on it!”
