Bryan Cranston and “Vanderpump Rules” is the crossover we didn’t expect but definitely deserved. During a June 20 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen prompted the actor to perform his version of a “powerful soliloquy” delivered by “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix. The “Clubhouse Playhouse” segment specifically involved the small but powerful speech Madix gave to Tom Sandoval during their last conversation in the season 10 finale, after she’d learned of Sandoval’s affair.

“Is it alright if I don’t know what I’m doing?” Cranston asked, standing up in preparation. “I’ve never seen this show,” he clarified, making the moments that followed all the more impressive. The lights dimmed, and despite never seeing the now-iconic scene himself, Cranston channeled every bit of Madix’s rage. “I’ve been with you for nine years, when you were literally f*cking, like, wearing combat boots and skinny jeans,” he recited, speaking gravely and waving his hands to emphasize the point.

Continuing Madix’s monologue, Cranston made sure to highlight her full range of emotion, not quite impersonating her exact tone or mannerisms, but certainly emulating every bit of her frustration. “Oh now — now you got a little bit of money, a little bar, a little band. And this girl is going to act enamored with you? ‘Cause that’s what you want. You want someone to just gas you up,” he said with the utmost sincerity, brow furrowed, his delivery somehow intensifying the absurdity of the situation.

“You’re worth nothing,” he went on, enunciating each word and wagging his finger as a sort of dramatic climax. “And I want you to feel that deep in your soul.” Watch the video above to see the full version of Cranston’s performance in all its dramatic glory.
