Cameron Diaz Waited Until Meeting Husband Benji Madden To Get Married

Cameron Diaz famously waited until she was 42 to get married, and when she finally did, it was to the love of her life, Good Charlotte frontman Benji Madden. When asked why she waited so long, Diaz replied that she hadn’t met the right person yet. She went on to explain that there is a distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends, and when she met Madden, she knew he was the one. Diaz said that it was one of those moments where everyone told her “you just know when you know,” and that’s exactly what happened. She felt an instant connection with Madden and fortunately for her, the feeling was mutual.
