CeeLo Green's Departure From The Voice Sparks Controversy

In 2012, CeeLo Green faced some serious accusations when a woman claimed that he had drugged and sexually assaulted her. The unnamed victim said that Green had given her ecstasy over dinner, and she woke up to find herself naked in a bed with him. Green maintained his innocence, and his lawyer stated that all sexual encounters he had were consensual. An investigation was launched into the accusations, but authorities found that the woman’s story had a lot of inconsistencies that failed to prove the singer had sexually assaulted her. As a result, the sexual assault charges were dropped and Green was only charged with the drug case. He pleaded no contest in 2014 and was sentenced to 3 years probation and 45 days of community service. Following the news, Green exited “The Voice” in 2013, although he denies rumors that he was about to be fired.
