The renowned Al Pacino is concerned about facing solitude after his recent separation from Noor Alfallah, despite having welcomed a child together just 16 months prior. He seems to be stepping away from the idea of marriage altogether.
This legendary actor, famous for his performances in classics like The Godfather series and Scarface, will be turning 85 in April 2025. However, he may spend that milestone alone following the departure of Alfallah, who is significantly younger at 54 years.
While Pacino has a son named Roman with Noor, they have amicably separated and continue to co-parent. Nonetheless, his memoir suggests he doesn’t see a reconnection happening.
“Every experience comes with pain, a ticket to discomfort,” Pacino reflects in his memoir, Sonny Boy. “‘Are you getting on board or staying? I choose to stay.” He expresses that he never believed marriage was right for him.
He enjoys living with someone but emphasizes the necessity of genuine connection: “A significant bond is essential; if not, it feels intrusive.” He values the possibility of discovering a meaningful connection with another person.
Pacino disclosed their separation on October 3, describing their relationship now as a “friendship” during a chat with PEOPLE, with his representative later confirming that they are focused on co-parenting.
Previously, he has dated notable actresses including Diane Keaton, Beverly D’Angelo, and Kathleen Quinlan, with long-term partnerships with Beverly D’Angelo (1997-2003) and Lucila Polak (2008-2018).
