Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner celebrated Thanksgiving together by volunteering to help Midnight Mission.
Their joyful demeanor showcased their supportive family ties as they enjoyed quality time with their children: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Together with their children, they contributed to serving meals for 2,000 homeless individuals in downtown Los Angeles during the organization’s annual Thanksgiving brunch. Body language expert Judi James later analyzed their interaction at the event.
She observed that Ben’s demeanor indicated he felt at ease, unburdened by celebrity expectations, and his playful attitude was evident as he shared an intimate moment by whispering to Jennifer.
While Jennifer is currently in a relationship with John Miller, whom she has been with intermittently since 2018, Judi noted Ben’s greater engagement with Garner compared to his past interactions with JLo.
According to Judi, Ben appeared to take on a dominant role, fully immersed in the activity, in stark contrast to his earlier detached public demeanor with J-Lo. She remarked that he looked relaxed and in control, a far cry from his often grumpy expression during the end of his marriage to J-Lo.
Both he and Jennifer appeared comfortable and even welcoming towards photographers, signaling a shift from Ben’s previous reluctance in the spotlight.
Judi concluded that Ben seems sincerely happy to rejoin his family unit, suggesting that the weight of his A-list fame, particularly during his time with J-Lo, felt burdensome, similar to their previous relationship.
Jennifer Lopez’s Thanksgiving
Meanwhile, Lopez spent her Thanksgiving posting a solitary image with her turkey on Instagram, which Judi interpreted as a ‘performative pose for the camera.’
She contrasted the two scenarios, pointing out how while J-Lo showcased a single image emphasizing herself and the turkey, Ben engaged meaningfully with his family, dressed in matching aprons that symbolized their united effort, looking both confident and joyful, something he hadn’t demonstrated publicly with JLo during much of their marriage.
