Ben Affleck Seeks Shelter at Jennifer Garner’s Home Amid Pacific Palisades Wildfire Evacuation

Ben Affleck evacuated by Pacific Palisades fire and takes refuge in Jennifer Garner's home

The destructive Pacific Palisades wildfire continues to impact the Los Angeles vicinity, prompting Ben Affleck among many other stars and locals to evacuate.

The 52-year-old actor had to abandon his $20 million residence on Tuesday, reportedly heading to the home of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, which is located nearby.

Affleck and Garner have three children together, and it appears that the actress has not yet needed to leave her Brentwood house, although residents are on alert.

It remains uncertain if Affleck opted to stay at Garner’s home or was simply checking in for the family’s safety. Prior to his departure, he was seen driving to his residence.

Affleck acquired his Pacific Palisades property for $20.5 million in July 2024 following his separation from Jennifer Lopez. Their divorce was finalized just days prior.

Several other celebrities impacted by the fire

Affleck is not alone in fleeing the Pacific Palisades due to the wildfire; many others, such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Mandy Moore, Mark Hamill, Eugene Levy, and James Woods have also evacuated.

Big names like Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Steven Spielberg, Michael Keaton, and Reese Witherspoon also reside in the area.

On Tuesday, Chet Hanks, Tom Hanks’ son, shared on Instagram, “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn. Pray for Palisades.”

As of Wednesday, there are four active fires – Palisades, Woodley, Eaton, and Hurst – threatening LA County in Southern California, with Cal Fire reporting that containment has not yet been achieved.

A fifth fire, Tyler, in Riverside County has been fully contained.
