Beyoncé recently shared her plans regarding music video releases, indicating that she won’t be producing any new ones. Her latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter’, which debuted in March, notably lacks music videos, even for her anticipated track ‘Texas Hold’em’.
There’s a thoughtful reasoning behind her decision: “In today’s visually-driven world, it’s essential to emphasize the importance of voice. The richness and intricacies of music deserve time for exploration and appreciation,” she stated.
“Visual elements can sometimes overshadow the essence of the music. Crafting an album over four years demands great effort and precision. The music itself speaks volumes. The fans contributed to the visuals through their experiences during concerts, enhancing the artistic narrative.”
Beyoncé also reflected on her artistic path: “While I’m proud of my accomplishments, I acknowledge the sacrifices made by both myself and my family. There was a period when I felt immense pressure to adhere to unrealistic timelines, which prevented me from enjoying the fruits of my labor.
“Back then, I was pushing myself beyond limits without focusing on mental well-being. Many of us in the late 1990s didn’t prioritize mental health.”
Now, she emphasizes a healthier work ethic, noting that she has learned to balance her efforts: “I aim to work smarter and not just harder.”
