Bill Clinton Enjoys the Eras Tour
Clinton spoke about his excitement on Live with Kelly and Mark, sharing that it was his first time seeing Swift perform live.
During the interview, co-host Kelly Ripa asked him about the concert, to which he excitedly responded, “I did, I did!”
A short clip featured the 78-year-old former president dancing enthusiastically from a VIP suite while Swift sang her classic hit “You Belong with Me.”
Clinton praised the singer’s remarkable energy and commitment.
“She’s unlike many artists performing today,” he stated.
“She performed for over three hours nonstop! It was impressive how she engaged with the audience.”
He noted the special bond Swift forms with her fans.
“I understand now,” he reflected.
“It’s clear why she resonates with so many, especially young girls.”
Clinton also observed his granddaughter Charlotte and other youths singing along to every single lyric.
“It was amazing to see all the kids in the audience,” he commented.
“They all knew the words to every song!”
Swift’s Emotional Farewell to The Eras Tour
In the meantime, Swift shared heartfelt moments during her sixth and final sold-out show in Toronto.
After a heartfelt rendition of Champagne Problems, she was met with a lengthy standing ovation, which brought her to tears as she expressed gratitude to the audience.
“This tour … I’m not sure what to say. I’m just having a moment,” Swift confessed, pausing to dry her tears before playfully adding, “It’s not even the last show!”
The Eras Tour is set to conclude with a final performance in Vancouver at the beginning of next month.
