BUZZ: Ice-T and Coco Austin’s 7-Year-Old Daughter Chanel Still Co-Sleeping With Parents

Ice-T and his wife Coco Austin, along with their daughter Chanel, all sleep in the same bed. The rapper revealed this unusual sleeping arrangement while discussing his close bond with the 7-year-old on the “That Moment with Daymond John” podcast Tuesday. He explained that he is much more connected to Chanel than his other children, Letesha, 47, and Tracy, 31, whom he welcomed with exes Adrienne and Darlene Ortiz, respectively.

Ice-T was 58 when Austin gave birth to Chanel in November 2015. Welcoming Chanel late in life was the “best gift” for him, and he gushed that it made him want to live forever and create new goals. The couple have continuously clapped back at social media trolls over their parenting tactics, from breast-feeding their daughter to bathing her in the sink. In 2019, Ice-T defended a photo of Austin sleeping topless next to Chanel and their dog Alexus. Austin cried over mom-shamers’ comments during a “Tamron Hall Show” appearance last year, comparing the criticism to “being underneath a microscope” all the time. Ice-T and Austin have been married since January 2002.
