Kim Zolciak once said that divorce was never an option for her and soon-to-be ex-husband Kroy Biermann. In an October 2017 interview with Fox News, she confidently stated, “That’s not an option in my house.” She attributed the divorces of other “Housewives” to the “hype of TV and the publicity” and said that she would never allow a show to impact her marriage.
However, legal documents obtained by TMZ revealed that Zolciak filed for divorce and listed April 30 as the date of separation between her and the former NFL star after 11 years of marriage. Reps for Zolciak did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In a November 2022 interview with E! News, Zolciak doubled down on her approach to marriage, saying that couples need to stay “true” to their wedding vows when “things get tough.” She said, “They’d rather just say screw it and try it on the next one, but you got to hold true to your promises that you gave that person when you were standing in front of your friends and family.”

As for the couple’s mounting debt from the IRS, documents revealed that they owe $1.1 million for unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 and 2018, as well as $15,000 to the state of Georgia for unpaid taxes in 2018.
Zolciak has recently made appearances back in the Bravo world amid the hefty bill, making a cameo in the “RHOA” season 15 trailer. She left “RHOA” in 2012 after five seasons, later returning as a “friend of” in the 10th season of the show. In 2012 Zolciak had her own wedding spinoff, “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding,
