BUZZ: ‘Mean’ Miranda Lambert blasted for stopping concert to call out fans taking selfie: ‘Rude and uncalled for’

Miranda Lambert is under fire for scolding concertgoers who took a selfie during her Las Vegas residency over the weekend.

“Why is she being mean , the gorlies [sic] are just having a good night,” one Twitter user wrote Monday.

“I think her reaction was a bit rude and uncalled for,” another tweeted.

“Now you can’t take pictures at concerts? These people need to get off their high horse,” a third critic added.

“They paid to be there so if they want to take a selfie they are entitled to do so,” another pointed out.

Lambert, 39, has not reacted to the backlash as the video of her pausing her performance to call out the women went viral on social media.

In the TikTok video posted Sunday, the country singer stopped singing “Tin Man” to say, “I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry. These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit.”

After adding that she did not like their behavior “at all,” Lambert said, “We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.”

While some fans cheered in the footage, others walked out of the show.

One could be heard saying, “Let’s go. You don’t do that to fans.”

However, many social media users are standing behind the Grammy winner.

“I would’ve done the same thing. You pay all that money to see the singer, but here you are looking at your phone,” one fan wrote via Twitter.

Another noted, “It’s so sad that this generation experiences things only so they can watch it on their phones later. Stop going to concerts and being on your phone the whole time, you’re there now just enjoy it while you’re there and you won’t forget it.”

Lambert, who is married to retired NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin, announced her “Velvet Rodeo” residency in March 2022. The show kicked off in September.
