Meghan Markle has signed with Hollywood agency WME and is ready to move onto bigger and better things. The global entertainment agency announced the news on Thursday via Twitter, sharing a headshot of the Duchess of Sussex. WME will be focusing on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency & its broader ecosystem, including film & television production, brand partnerships & more. Despite Markle’s background in acting, the agency revealed she won’t be making a return to the small screen.
Additionally, WME will also represent Archewell, the actress’s content creation label, which she launched alongside her husband, Prince Harry, 38. Her WME team will include Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, plus Brad Slater and Jill Smoller, who famously represents Markle’s bestie, Serena Williams.
The news of Markle’s new representation comes as she’s been keeping a low profile as King Charles III’s coronation — which will take place on May 6 — approaches. Harry will jet off despite the tensions with the royal family, which started when they quit their roles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex in 2020. The ousted couple then accused the royal family of racially profiling the actress and ignoring their pleas for help when she was plagued with suicidal ideations while pregnant with their son.
Harry has since expressed his desire to hear his father apologize to both himself and his wife after the alleged harsh treatment they suffered from the family, including his older brother, Prince William. The coronation will be the first time Harry will see his family after the release of his book, “Spare.”
Meghan Markle is now represented by WME and is ready to move onto bigger and better things. She won’t be returning to acting any time soon, but will instead focus on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency & its broader ecosystem, including film & television production, brand partnerships & more.
