Christine Baumgartner made a stoic appearance at a lawyer’s office as new developments in her breakup from estranged husband Kevin Costner continue to surface.
The handbag designer was photographed visiting an attorney in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Tuesday afternoon.
The 49-year-old dressed professionally in a floral blouse and brown slacks, completing her chic look with black shoes and a matching crossbody bag.
She clutched a white binder, which may have held documents pertaining to her impending divorce, while meeting up with a mystery woman outside the legal office building.
Baumgartner filed to divorce Costner, 68, last month after 18 years of marriage — and their breakup has been anything but amicable.
The “Yellowstone” star has been fighting to get Baumgartner to vacate their $145 million Santa Barbara home despite both parties signing a prenup agreeing to vacate after 30 days of filing for divorce.
But Baumgartner — who shares Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, with Costner and is seeking joint custody — argued that he has no legal right to boot her from their abode.
Her attorney, John Rydell, claimed that Costner’s recent request “seeks to kick Christine and their three children out of the house that the children have lived in for their entire lives,” which is “a matter of critical importance,” according to court documents obtained by Insider.
Earlier this month, Costner claimed that Baumgartner secretly spent nearly $100,000 on his credit card in an effort to cause him “irreparable harm.”
The actor has allegedly already given his ex more than $1.2 million, as required from their prenuptial agreement, and even offered to give her a $10,000 advance for moving costs and an extra $30,000 per month for a rental house “as part of his child support obligations.”
Sources told Page Six in May that Costner was “stunned” by Baumgartner’s decision to file for divorce. A longtime friend of his confirmed that “there was no issues of cheating at all” despite rumors swirling about an affair.
Their breakup plot thickened on Monday when reports surfaced that Costner and Baumgartner got into a legal spat earlier this year with a tenant who was renting their guesthouse.
Costner attempted to kick tech entrepreneur Daniel Starr out of his $60,000-plus-a-month beachfront property, the US Sun reported.
The now-estranged couple had reportedly grown close with Starr while he lived there, but when Baumgartner allegedly had a falling out with the tenant, Costner wanted him gone.
Starr, who signed a 12-month lease on the home, claimed he did nothing wrong and refused to leave, leading Costner to take legal action.
Amid the drama, Starr reportedly moved out in March with three months remaining on his lease.
Before Starr’s departure, a source claimed the 42-year-old and Baumgartner “hung out a lot,” alleging she would go over to his guesthouse “almost daily.”
Costner and Baumgartner got married in 2004 after dating for six years.
The Cat Bag Couture creator “wasn’t happy” with her partner’s work habits before their breakup, a source told People, alleging that he wasn’t “around very much … during filming.”
