UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington, who is known for his controversial statements and support of Donald Trump, has stirred debate by bringing NBA star LeBron James into the spotlight over the ongoing legal issues of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Covington made these comments at a press conference ahead of his fight with Joaquin Buckley, connecting James to Diddy’s alleged involvement in a sex-trafficking case through provocative remarks.
At the press conference, Covington brought up an old video where LeBron James expressed admiration for one of Diddy’s extravagant events.
Taking this as his cue, Covington questioned, “What does LeBron mean when he says, ‘There’s no party like a Diddy party?'” He intensified his comments by labeling James as a “f****** scumbag” and even remarked that he “should be locked up in the same cell with Diddy.”
