Dave Coulier, known for his iconic role as Joey Gladstone in “Full House,” has disclosed a serious health challenge. The 65-year-old actor has been diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a difficult form of cancer that took him by surprise.
Coulier’s journey began with symptoms resembling an upper respiratory infection, which resulted in notable swelling in his lymph nodes. This prompted him to seek professional medical advice.
Just a few days post-visit, Coulier received heart-wrenching news from his physicians. He recounted, “They told me, ‘We wish we had better news, but you have Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It’s B cell, and it’s very aggressive.’” This revelation came during an interview with People.
Despite the challenging diagnosis, Coulier is staying positive and getting ready for the tough road ahead.

Initially, he noticed cold-like symptoms along with slight swelling in his groin, which rapidly grew to the size of a golf ball in just five days. Alarmed at the quick progression, his doctors recommended scans and a biopsy, ultimately confirming the diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma, which Coulier identified as “a very aggressive type.“
Coulier described receiving his diagnosis as feeling like a “gut punch.” Fortunately, doctors discovered that when assessing his bone marrow for the cancer stage, the disease had not yet spread.
