Diddy’s Children Speak Out: What They Shared While Skipping Controversy

The well-being of Diddy's 'adopted' daughter raises concerns of fans

Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ children have spoken out publicly for the first time after his recent arrest on sex-related charges. Instead of discussing the allegations against their father, they aimed to dispel rumors about their deceased mother, Kim Porter. In their statement, Christian, 26, and twin sisters Jessie and D’Lila, 17, expressed their anger towards what they called “vicious conspiracy theories” about Porter.

Porter was in a long-term relationship with the music producer from 1994 to 2007, during which they welcomed three children together.

Porter passed away unexpectedly in 2018 at the age of 47 due to lobar pneumonia. She also had a 33-year-old son, Quincy, from a previous marriage with singer Al B. Sure!, whom Diddy adopted when Quincy was a child.

The family’s statement comes after the release of a controversial memoir. This self-published book, launched in early September, purports to have been penned by Porter prior to her death. However, the Combs children have strongly rejected the memoir, branding it as entirely false.

Their statement

The 59-page document titled, Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, from the Other Side…, has gained popularity on Amazon’s Best Sellers list despite skepticism regarding its truthfulness. The author, identified by the pseudonym Jamal T. Millwood, has been associated by some conspiracy theorists with Tupac Shakur, suggesting he might still be alive.

“We have seen countless hurtful and inaccurate rumors about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, and concerning our mother’s tragic death, prompting us to address the situation,” they wrote in a collective Instagram statement.

“The assertion that our mother wrote a book is absolutely false. She did not. Anyone claiming to possess a manuscript is misleading themselves.

“Reconciling her untimely departure has been incredibly challenging. The causes of her death have been clearly established: there was no foul play involved.

“It deeply saddens us that our personal tragedy has become a public spectacle. Our mother should be remembered as the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving person she was, not obscured by terrible conspiracy theories.”
