Donna Kelce expressed her eagerness to attend the Eras Tour, wishing to see her son’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, perform live before the tour concludes. This comes ahead of Travis Kelce‘s first role in the show Grotesquerie.
As the mother of Travis, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, and older brother Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, Donna has embraced Swift warmly, treating her as part of the family given their close bond.
However, despite being in a relationship for over a year, the 34-year-old singer has not yet arranged for the 71-year-old Donna to obtain any special tickets to witness her journey from a hopeful country artist to a worldwide star during her concerts.
With the tour concluding in December, Donna remains hopeful despite the ticking clock. “I hope so,” she told PEOPLE about attending the show. “I would like to. It’s spectacular.”
The Eras Tour will resume on October 18 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and will run across the US and Canada again, wrapping up at BC Place in Vancouver on December 8.
The tour has broken numerous records, becoming the highest-grossing tour ever and also producing the highest-grossing concert film in history, though Coldplay later surpassed the latter achievement.
What is Grotesquerie about?
In addition to his football career at Arrowhead Stadium, where he is a three-time Super Bowl champion, Travis has a strong interest in pursuing opportunities in the film and TV industry.
With his bold fashion choices and charismatic personality, the 34-year-old has all the qualities necessary for a successful entertainer and even made an unexpected appearance during the Eras Tour in London last July.
Currently, the focus shifts to his television debut in the FX series Grotesquerie, though little is known about the show’s premise.
Directed by Ryan Murphy, famed for American Horror Story, the horror drama is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 25, at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
The storyline follows a detective who collaborates with a nun to solve a series of crimes affecting both their community and personal lives. The show has been ordered for 10 episodes, with the season finale airing on October 23. The specific role of Kelce in the series remains undisclosed.
