Donna Kelce Takes Center Stage in Hallmark’s Latest Film: “What an Incredible Experience!”

Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL players Travis and Jason Kelce, has ventured into acting at the age of 72. She recently debuted in two holiday films on the Hallmark Channel: Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which takes place in Kansas City, and Christmas on Call, filmed in Philadelphia.

During an interview at Arrowhead Stadium on November 29, Donna expressed her excitement about the experience, saying, “It was amazing! I learned so much from all the talented Hallmark veterans.”

In Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Donna portrays a barbecue restaurant manager who offers wise counsel to the leading roles played by Tyler Hynes and Hunter King. The film revolves around a romance involving the Chiefs‘ fan engagement director and a devoted fan.

According to Donna, filming in Kansas City was particularly meaningful. “It was a fantastic experience to shoot at the stadium I’ve visited for over a decade,” she noted.

A favorite among her grandchildren

Donna’s grandchildren were thrilled to see her in Christmas on Call. “They kept saying, ‘Replay it! We want to see DeeDee!'” she shared, using her grandmother nickname.

She shares three granddaughters with her son Jason Kelce and his spouse, Kylie: Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett.

Kind words from co-stars

Donna’s joyful and warm demeanor left a positive impact on her co-stars in the Hallmark films. “She’s incredibly sweet,” noted Hunter King, adding, “It felt like having a mom around on set.” Tyler Hynes also praised her, stating, “Donna had such a natural presence. She even requested us to write a note for Travis to keep in his locker!”

The film features guest appearances by various Kansas City Chiefs players, Head Coach Andy Reid, and celebrities like Jenna Bush Hager and Christine Ebersole.
