Former Partner of Ryan Seacrest Files Lawsuit Against American Airlines for Ingesting Plastic Shards in Drink

Ryan Seacrest ex Shana Wall sues American Airlines after swallowing plastic shards found in a drink

Shana Wall, who previously dated Ryan Seacrest, has taken legal action, claiming that she suffered severe injuries by mistakenly swallowing plastic pieces found in a drink served to her on a flight headed to Rome. The incident occurred on May 1 during an American Airlines flight departing from John F. Kennedy International Airport.

In her lawsuit, Wall asserts that the plastic bits inflicted substantial harm to her throat, esophagus, vocal cords, and digestive tract.

As a result of these injuries, the 51-year-old contends that she is unable to work, confined to bed, and necessitates ongoing medical care. The lawsuit, lodged in Manhattan Supreme Court, demands unspecified compensation, alleging negligence on the part of American Airlines.

Wall’s representatives and her legal counsel have abstained from making statements about the matter, while American Airlines has not yet responded to the accusations.

Background of Shana Wall, Ryan Seacrest’s Ex

Between 2003 and 2005, Wall was in a relationship with Seacrest. Apart from her presence in reality television, she has appeared in television series such as “Married… with Children” and “Entourage.”

Currently, Wall pursues a career as a sommelier and contributes to the men’s lifestyle magazine Best Life, sharing her love for wine and culinary arts.

Despite the alleged injuries, Wall maintained an active social media presence in mid-May, where she posted images from northern Italy, enjoying glasses of Barolo wine-just a few weeks following the incident on the plane. Her online activity showcases her extensive travels and expertise in wine, offering exclusive tastings and workshops to her followers.

This occurrence is not the sole instance of airline passengers encountering foreign objects in their in-flight meals. According to the New York Post, a traveler aboard an Air India flight in June discovered a sharp metal fragment in a meal, while a passenger on a Korean Air flight last year found glass in her coffee. Unlike Wall, these individuals did not ingest the foreign substances.
