Jamie Foxx is set to reveal details about his recent health challenges in his new Netflix special titled What Had Happened Was.
The acclaimed actor intends to address the episodes surrounding his health, including conspiracy theories suggesting involvement from Sean “Diddy” Combs, while speculation about their strained friendship persists.
In a recent Instagram post, Foxx expressed his enthusiasm for the special and gratitude for his healing journey.
“I am incredibly grateful to share my experiences in my own voice. Many thanks to those who prayed for me,” he remarked.
Returning to the stand-up scene in Atlanta after 18 years, the Texas native described the filming process as deeply moving.
“It felt like a communal gathering… filled with laughter, a few tears, and ultimately, a celebration of life and second chances,” he reflected.
Rumors of Conspiracy and Diddy
Foxx has kept details about his health issues private, causing much speculation during his absence. In the upcoming special, he will tackle speculation regarding Diddy’s supposed involvement in his health scare. Audience members claimed that Foxx devoted a significant part of his set to discussing the rapper.
According to videographer Choke No Joke, who attended some of the tapings, Foxx allegedly mentioned, “Diddy is to blame for what happened to me, and I called the FBI on him.”
Choke interpreted these comments as possibly stemming from concern, suggesting viewers can gauge the seriousness of his words when they watch the special.
Nevertheless, others, like viewer Dennis L.A. White, reported that Foxx maintained a more humorous tone, asserting, “Folks ask me if Diddy was to blame. He wasn’t. If he was, I’d be dead by now.”
Reports indicate that Foxx and Diddy have drifted apart in recent years despite their past friendship, and Foxx’s special is expected to explore their relationship through humorous commentary and references to incidents that occurred between them.
