Jamie Foxx is embracing life a year after facing a serious health crisis that left him incapacitated and in a coma for 20 days.
The 56-year-old actor shared a photo of himself riding a horse along a beautiful beach during sunset, showcasing an orange sky as the backdrop.
He captioned the picture, “The sunset looks different to me now got to ride it out… What had happened was,” reflecting a newfound appreciation for life.
A fan expressed happiness for Foxx, to which he reacted with three praying emojis, signaling gratitude.
Newfound outlook on life for Foxx
This update follows Foxx’s recent announcement of a new personal motto that he now embraces after overcoming his health scare.
Foxx shared, “This is my mantra after surviving something I thought I would never face. My good friend James [V. Barnett], who is also my manager, gave me this saying. It now guides me.”
He added, “When you come through the darkness, the light looks brighter. Additionally, I’m grateful to everyone who prayed for me, as I desperately needed it.”
Furthermore, Foxx is promoting his upcoming comedy special, ‘Netflix’s Jamie Foxx: What Happened Was…’, set to debut on December 10.
Jamie expressed that his spirit was “filled with pure joy” after finally sharing his narrative over three nights from October 3-5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
He stated, “I haven’t performed live in 18 years, but I needed that experience and an audience that radiated pure love, and that’s exactly what you were,” Foxx shared on October 13.
“When asked if this is a stand-up comedy show, I clarify, ‘No, it’s an artistic retelling of something that went terribly wrong.'”
