The suit claims that Diddy sexually assaulted him in 1997 at a Holiday Inn in Detroit. Legal documents acquired by In Touch indicate that Cardello-Smith believes Jennifer Lopez—widely known as “Jenny from the Block”—has crucial insights regarding the alleged assault. He suggests that her involvement with Diddy from 1999 to 2001 might equip her with information relevant to Diddy’s alleged misconduct.

An Event That Went Terribly Wrong
Cardello-Smith, who was a bartender at the time he met Diddy, claims he was invited to a private party hosted by the rapper. He alleges that Diddy offered him a drink, saying it had “a little something” in it. Shortly after consuming it, Cardello-Smith asserts he lost consciousness and awoke to find Diddy involved in sexual acts with a woman. “He looked at me and said, ‘I did this to you too!'” Cardello-Smith states in his lawsuit.
The lawsuit seeks $400 million in damages but has faced strong resistance from Diddy’s legal representatives, who deem the allegations “groundless.” They contend the accusations exceed the statute of limitations and are filled with discrepancies, particularly regarding the location of the alleged incident as mentioned in Cardello-Smith’s claims.
“These assertions are not only overdue but also implausible,” remarked Diddy’s attorney, dismissing the plaintiff’s claims of a government conspiracy and threats of retribution as “nonsensical conspiracy theories.”

Diddy, who recently pleaded not guilty to other serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, has firmly denied all accusations against him.
