Jennifer Lopez had an incredibly touching moment during an episode ofThe Graham Norton Show that aired on November 8, where she reunited with a fan she had met just a day earlier, according to PEOPLE.
While in the UK for her film promotion Unstoppable, JLo expressed her sadness over the cancellation of her This Is Me… Live tour and recounted a heartfelt exchange from the previous day.
“I want to apologize to my fans because I know many of them purchased tickets,” JLo stated on the show. “I saw fans who genuinely touched me when I left the hotel yesterday, they said, ‘I had tickets to see you,’ and I responded, ‘I’m so sorry.’ They replied, ‘Don’t apologize. We love you,’ and I just started crying.”
A Heartfelt Encounter on Live TV
During the show, a man from the audience called out, identifying himself as the fan she had met previously. In surprise, JLo responded: “Was that you?! Oh my God,” and she excitedly pointed him out.
Without hesitation, JLo leapt from her chair, approached the fan, and embraced him warmly, both appearing thrilled during their hug.
After their hug, Jennifer shared: “I got in the car and cried. Honestly, canceling was incredibly hard for me and I’ve never done that before. I’m really sorry.”
The fan reassured her, saying, “I understand, JLo, we understand,” to which she replied, “Okay, okay.” They shared one last warm hug before she returned to her seat.
“I love my fans, oh my God,” the star added passionately.
JLo appeared on the show alongside notable guests like Dwayne Johnson, Lucy Liu, and Kate Winslet.
Before this touching moment, the Unstoppable star discussed her choice to cancel the tour to spend time with her twins, Max and Emme, aged 16.
“I decided to take this summer off to be with the kids, and I think it was the best decision I’ve ever made,” she mentioned. “It’s not in my nature to do that.”
In May, she had announced the tour’s cancellation through a statement on her OntheJLo website, explaining her need to “take some time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.”
This decision to cancel occurred during rumors of her divorce from Ben Affleck, which she officially filed for on August 20, following two years of marriage.
