Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck appear to be maintaining a cordial relationship, even after Lopez filed for divorce on August 20.
Affleck praised Lopez, labeling her “spectacular” for her performance in their latest film, ‘Unstoppable’.
Even though Lopez did not directly mention Affleck during her red carpet interview at the film’s London premiere on November 5, she acknowledged his compliment.
A reporter asked her how she would describe Affleck’s work as a producer, to which she responded, “I would describe all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes as spectacular and wonderful.”
Affleck’s remarks were made in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on November 3, where he praised the film’s cast and shared insights about ‘Unstoppable’, based on the journey of a real-life wrestler who triumphed despite being born with one leg.
He emphasized the importance of storytelling when the creators are connected to the narrative, saying, “We believed in the right people, and Unstoppable is another example of that.” He specifically commended Lopez, who plays a mother’s role in the film, along with other cast members.
Status of Lopez and Affleck’s Relationship
Despite their collaboration on the film, Lopez and Affleck’s relationship remains strained following the divorce filing in August, which coincided with the second anniversary of their lavish wedding.
Lopez has expressed her plans for the upcoming holidays, acknowledging the challenges of the past year. She looks forward to spending quality time with her children and family.
“The holidays mean a lot to me, and I cherish those moments with my loved ones, creating beautiful memories,” she told People.
