On Thursday, actor Johnny Depp donned his iconic pirate outfit once more, portraying Jack Sparrow during a visit to the Donostia University Hospital in San Sebastian.
As part of the 72nd San Sebastian Film Festival, Depp engaged with young patients on the pediatric and oncology wings, bringing joy and laughter to those who were hospitalized, according to a statement from the Basque Health Service.
“A Refreshing Spirit for All”
In character as Jack Sparrow, the lovable character from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, Depp interacted with both the children and their families, taking photographs and creating a momentary escape from their challenges.
His visit reportedly brought joy to the patients, families, and medical staff present at the hospital, as noted by Osakidetza.
The Basque Health Service, particularly the staff at Donostia Hospital, expressed “deep appreciation to Johnny Depp for his kindness, time, and enthusiasm”.
They remarked, “He truly was a breath of fresh air for the entire ward.”
