Actor Justin Baldoni has reportedly been let go by his talent agency, WME. This action follows a lawsuit filed by co-star and producer Blake Lively regarding incidents on the set of It Ends With Us.
The allegations include inappropriate remarks about Lively‘s physique and suggestions to alter the script to decrease its sexual nature.
Further details on the lawsuit
Blake Lively lodged a 10-count legal complaint with the California Department of Civil Rights on Friday evening, accusing Justin Baldoni, his production firm Wayfarer Studios, and others affiliated with It Ends With Us of sexual harassment and a smear campaign against her.
Lively highlighted various incidents of misconduct on set, including inappropriate screenings of explicit videos and discussions regarding pornography. She alleged that Baldoni consulted her trainer without her approval about her weight and insisted on including unwelcome sexual scenes in the film.
Baldoni’s attorney responds
The lawyer representing Baldoni stated, “These allegations are entirely unfounded, outrageous and provocatively intended to damage Mr. Baldoni’s reputation publicly.”
“It is regrettable that Ms. Lively and her team have made such serious, unequivocally misleading accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and their representatives as a desperate move to reclaim her tarnished reputation, influenced by her own actions during the film’s promotion,” the lawyer continued.
He also disclosed that Lively engaged publicist Leslie Sloan of Vision PR—who also represents Ryan Reynolds—to fabricate and disseminate negative stories in the media.
Interestingly, Justin Baldoni was quietly dismissed from WME just a few hours ago, though the agency hasn’t commented on the matter yet and is expected to issue a statement soon.
