Justin Timberlake's driving license suspended after DWI charge

Justin Timberlake faced consequences following a DWI charge in the Hamptons, leading to a suspension of his driving license.

The well-known singer and actor participated in a hearing at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court via video call from Antwerp, Belgium. Timberlake watched as his license was temporarily suspended post his arrest on June 18.

Reports suggest that the 43-year-old pop star’s license was suspended because he declined to take a breathalyzer test after being pulled over for traffic violations and erratic driving behavior.

Timberlake mentioned he had consumed “one Martini” that evening but could not substantiate his claim due to opting out of the breathalyzer test.

An American hotel supported his statement, with a source informing People magazine that “If he was drinking more, it wasn’t here.”

Addressing fans at a concert in Chicago, Timberlake expressed, “I know I’m hard to love sometimes but you keep loving me right back.”

The singer has a court appearance set for August 9, but he is not required to be physically present. A potential in-person appearance might be necessary on September 13.

Meanwhile, Timberlake’s driving privileges remain suspended indefinitely, typically lasting for six months.

Lawyer given stern warning

During the hearing, Justice Carl Irace cautioned Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr, about making ‘irresponsible comments’, as per NBC.

Berk publicly stated, “The police made a number of very significant errors in this case.”

Later, adding, “In court today, you heard the district attorney try to fix one of those errors. But that’s just one and there are many others. Sometimes the police make mistakes and this is just one of those instances.”
