A lawsuit has been initiated by a former contestant of America’s Next Top Model against Kanye West, alleging that the rapper physically and sexually assaulted her during a shoot in 2010 in New York City.
Jennifer An alleges that while filming La Roux’s “In for the Kill” music video, West, 54, inappropriately touched her and attempted to gag her after selecting her for being in lingerie.
She recounts how he took her to a couch on set, where he grabbed her neck and smothered her face while forcing his fingers in her mouth, describing his actions as an art form by saying, “This is art. This is f-king art. I am like Picasso.”
Feeling panic and struggling for breath, she searched for help from others on set but alleges that no one came to her aid. She also initiates legal action against Universal Music Group, claiming they ignored her complaints and failed to take appropriate actions.
Jennifer contends that West’s influential status made it difficult for UMG to address her grievances, asserting he violated laws related to second-degree strangulation, sexual assault, and general assault, leaving her emotionally traumatized.
Further, she expresses feeling “extremely humiliated, degraded, victimized, embarrassed, and emotionally distressed,” indicating that these feelings persist and contribute to her ongoing mental struggles, along with seeking financial damages.
Latest Allegations Against West
This lawsuit adds to a series of sexual assault accusations against West. Recently, Lauren Pisciotta, a former employee, claimed she was harassed and raped by him in October at a studio with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, which West denies.
Additionally, another ex-staffer reported that West acted inappropriately concerning his wife, Bianca Censori, during work meetings, alleging he would leave them to engage in sexual relations.
There are also claims that West exhibited anti-Semitic behavior privately. As of November 15, West’s team had not responded to inquiries about these allegations.
